NFL combine participants:
SEC- 66
ACC-60
B1G- 51
Pac12- 47
Big12- 18

SEC has almost as many defensive linemen attending (16) as the entire Big 12.

West Virginia, who shouldn't even be in the conference, is sending 27% of those players.

I think I remember hearing a stat about signing day this year, something like Alabama signed 21 ESPN top 300 recruits. The Big 12 as a conference had 27.

My numbers are off but I know it was close to that.

It's all cyclical, but until Texas starts equally sharing, they will continue to kill every conference they are in

big 12 has 10 teams compared to 14 for acc (not including nd) and big 10. take out fsu, clemson, vt, osu, and michigan, and big 12 probably has more invitees despite still having less schools than either conference.

A more legitimate way to compare than arbitrarily not counting some of the better teams would be to look at the average number of players per school.

SEC- 66 = 4.7 players per school
ACC-60 = 4.2 player per school
B1G- 51 = 3.6 players per school
Pac12- 47 = 3.9 players per school
Big12- 18 = 1.8 players per school

The trend does not look good...

2016 NFL draftees...

SEC: 51
Big Ten: 47
Pac-12: 32
ACC: 26
Big 12: 26
FCS/D-II: 25

Yikes, 1 more draft pick than freakin' lower division players.

But same as ACC, so?

2015

SEC - 54
ACC - 47
Pac-12 - 39
Big Ten - 35
Big 12 - 25

While other conferences fluctuate, Big12 always seems to be at the bottom the last 3 years.

not when the vast majority of invitees from the acc, big 10 and pac 12 are only from a handful of schools while big 12 and sec players are more evenly distributed.

Sec has 5 per school, big 12 has less than 2 per school. How can you even compare this with a straight face?

the conference tells A&M that it wont pursue any legal action towards A&M as it was leaving, then, when it looks like OU and oSu are going to the pac, schools like baylor start calling up the fricking SEC offices and start telling the conference administrators that they will make be making a baseless lawsuit against A&M and the SEC if the SEC invites A&M into the conference all in an attempt to blow everything up

so yea, frick the big 12
