Mendoza is getting killed. She had nothing interesting to add. Basically a girl Madden stating the obvious. High pitched voices do not do well in commentary.

ive always found it funny how people always got on bermans, and now mendozas, case for the derby. its a two hour, sometimes longer, batting practice. what are they gonna say outside reacting to the home runs and discussing the data on the swing that gets recorded?

well, barkley and the tnt guys are the actual best in the business sooooo
and the dunk contest isnt a great comparison considering actual different and unique shite happens. a better comparison would be the 3 point shooting contest

It wasn't just Mendoza (even though she's one of my least favorite female announcers). They were all awful at the HR Derby.

I have no problem at all with women doing play by play for any sport, but the color commentator should have played in the league being covered.

Anyone defending her didn't watch. She was obnoxious and cringe worthy the whole time. She wouldn't shut up, and the guests ignored her questions half the time because they were so awful. That whole crew was terrible, they all talked too much, but she was incredibly annoying

She's fine. I've watched tons of telecasts with her on it, and she does well. Fake story, fake man rage.

Mendoza sucks but Mark Teixeira and David Ross are absolutely abysmal too. Tex has nothing informative to say, and Ross looks incredibly nervous every time he speaks.

The problem isn't so much her announcing. She's fine (not great but getting better) on actual game telecasts. But the problem is having 4 people calling a home run derby. Two max. Having 3-4 people calling it becomes obnoxious.
