Peej I just want to keep him on the line. I didn't mean to borrow from your autobiography.

I agree with you Shel, some people have taken it to far and it prolly stems from a racial standpoint.
Wait wait wait.

You "adamently" disagreed with me in the other thread, but this has been my stance all along.

I said there were some rather obivous racial "undertones" in the other thread, and you seemed to take offense to that, inferring that among the reasons Sherman was being hated on, being black was not one of them?

Can we just get back to the thread? Nothing you are saying offends me. I know you are just another dude trying to pass the work day

I was trying to disagree with the point that it had to be from a racial standpoint. If you were saying it is only racial for some and not others than i apologize. But everything in life will be racial to some people, on both sides of the equation

Ok, glad to see we're on the side on this one. I was a bit shocked thinking you had an opposing viewpoint on this one.

Of course this isn't a race thing

That ran was psychotic. People don't like that shite.I just hate Crabtree and sportsmanship so I don't really Carew

And like another poster pointed out the target demographic for noon on a work day includes young black men. They're giving their audience what they want plain and simple

ESPN has spent 10 years skirting the racial line to drum up ratings, this should come as a shock to no one

Agreed. I meant to "This" your OP. Jokes on anyone who watches that crap. I also acknowledged that commenting on it is not much better, referring to myself.

I may have taken this differently, but when I read this tweet it made me think Broadway thinks Sherman's actions--his boisterous and bragadocious nature--could be a reason why blacks may not be taken seriously.

I think that's how it was meant to be taken. I didn't mean Broadway was on Sherman's side in thinking people were being racist toward him.

I take black people seriously. I don't take buffons like Sherman seriously though be it if they're black, white, spanish, asian, or whatever else.

Broadway realizes that as a black male athelete who is probably looking to extend his career, you can't act like that and have people view you as a serious professional.
