Cooper is a dumbass then... Football is a physical sport, but what jones did wasn't football, it was some mma type shite...

And Cooper knows that, but he isn't going to sound off on Jones at the risk of sounding like a whiney rookie. Cooper knows what Jones did was dirty as frick, but he's also playing his hand with his response-in a smart manner, might I add.

Jones is a freaking punk. It's obvious he hasn't changed.

All he has is football. After this, chances are he will end up going to prison.

Cooper did well in saying that to get him out of the middle of it but the league should no doubt suspend pacman at least a game or two.

Smoke a lil weed-4 games
Slam a head into a helmet- 5,000 fine.

Very true, though I don't hope he is murdered.

He ripped a players helmet off and used it as a weapon. That is recklessly dangerous.

And I got about 70 downvotes.

Although Amari Cooper agrees with me.
The Refs agree with me.
The League agrees with me.

It's a typical NFL senseless face mask grab. Amari didn't even know his head hit his helmet & said no big deal.

I also doubt Pacman took off Amaris helmet & placed it just in the perfect place on the ground to shove his head on it.

Had he punched the man in his unprotected face or clubbed him with his helmet then........

But this was much ado about nothing.

If you think that Cooper actually means what he said, then you don't think very well.

Yeah, except they are going to fine him.

Also, this is "the league" that will suspend you for a quarter of the season for smoking a joint, but not suspend for physically assaulting someone, as someone has already pointed out.

I have seen players ejected and suspended for much, MUCH less in the NFL.

Since it was so "typical," please direct me to a video of a separate instance of a player doing this, if you don't mind.

Well the video shows that he did exactly that.

Oh yeah, for sure, slamming a guys unprotected skull into his helmet is totally okay, especially since, you know, the NFL is so gung ho on protecting players' brains. Great point.

Right, it was being reported on by pretty much every sports media outlet minutes after it happened, but yeah, much ado about nothing. Brilliant.

You seem more upset it about than Cooper. This is the NFL, most of these guys are violent thugs, let them fight it out.

Nope, I already said in this thread that i think it was a smart move for Cooper to act like it was no big deal.

Doesn't mean that it wasn't a shitty arse action by Jones.

And the sports media has never blown anything up? ESPN much?

Amari Cooper is an adult & doesn't need others speaking for him so I take him at his word. Cooper says he did not even know his head hit the helmet( such a vicious blow). Cooper says its no big deal just a football srcum.

The Refs nor the League thought much of it.

Okay, what exactly is being blown up? The thuggish action taken by Jones is plain to see to any civilized person on HD video.

No one said that he does, but I am just assuming that he does not truly condone Jones's actions. Ever heard of "player-speak?"

Except they think it warrants a fine of thousands and thousands of dollars.

And much of this " coming down on players " is because of whining fans like you & others here. The League needs to prove they have these " thugs" under control

Although Pro athletes are less criminal than the general population. Mostly hard working / dedicated guys who can't get to this level without being so.

Amari Cooper feels pain & says he didn't know his head hit the helmet & its no big deal.

The reason Gooddell got most of his punishment powers are because of the perceived thugs the League needed to come down on.

People are realizing now giving Goodell this power was misguided.

Nothing else really to discuss.

Amari is an adult . No problem.

3 Refs. No problem

League decided not to ban PacMan nor was he arrested

Get over it.
