I'd rather us continue to bring our fleur de lis into the spotlight, and completely rid ourselves of cayenne. A bulldog would be fine as a real life mascot, but that's as far as I would like it to be used or referenced.

FIFY. No one in the younger generations knows this. They have always been known as the Ragin Cajuns to us. It's a great nickname, possibly one of the best in the nation. But to go to a bulldog mascot would be too close to LA Tech. IMO a catahoula dog would make more sense. (and yes i know about centenary having one, but who the frick has really ever heard of centenary)

You already share a school name with another in state school. A physical mascot is not that far of a stretch.
