I'm heading that way this weekend. Sounds like it should be an incredible spectacular! Any tips?

if you park in lot k, you will easily be able to hop on the shuttle that is where it turns around. go out to your car and chug beers between races. that is the hospitality parking for track workers, so good luck i have not had issues fwiw.
friday is open seating. the best seats are high in turn 15.
they dont start selling beer until 10am on sunday (state law) so plan accordingly
if you want to do the autograph session, get there when the gate opens, follow the crowd to the tent where you get a wristband for the team you want. they will do this for only about the first 30 min the gates are open.
friday you can get a hat pin with the track logo if you ask the info tent. it will be the only thing free all weekend.
watch the ferrari 458 race. mostly semi pro guys who wreck the shite out of their cars.
bring a hat. the team hats are $50 each
no need for ear plugs, the new electric versions of the f1 cars are fairly quiet
there is a spot on the back straight close to turn 12 where you can get close to the fence while cars go by 200+
wear comfortable shoes and powder your nuts with gold bond. lot of walking.

Paddock Club...
Traffic from the eastside of the track was better a couple of years back.
