If you haven't been there you wouldn't understand. Honestly the best sporting experience ever had. If you ever get a chance do it

bullshite. While the landscape behind the rose bowl is cool, the stadium itself is a fricking pit. I'd never go there again.

Yeah, not a great stadium.

Good scenery, though.

The Rose Bowl is cool but it shouldn't have the power/influence that it has, especially now with the playoff. Their reluctance to move the game from it's usual timeslot last year is why we had that awful decision to have the playoff games on NYE.

The Rose Bowl kicking off at 5pm on New Years Day is an American tradition that should never go away. That game should always, always be on January 1

Hate to break it to you, but the Rose Bowl is on Jan 2 every few years whenever New Year's Day is on a Sunday. It was even played a few days after NYD when it was in the BCS Rotation.

So they obviously have no problem breaking that tradition for the NFL or the BCS. It should have no problem moving for the College Football Playoff.

They play it on the 2nd every four years to accomodiate the NFL schedule. Other than that, it shouldn't move.

They accommodate the NFL but they can't accommodate an event that is more important and bigger to College Football? Like I said, they had no problem playing it on a Thursday night when it was slated as the BCS Championship game. So obviously they really don't care about the tradition. The 2014-15 College Football Playoff on NYD was perfect and the ratings back it up. Its unfortunate that we can't have that because the Rose Bowl has too much pride.

I'm a big traditionalist but that's a bunch of BS. It's a bowl game, not The Masters.
