no. he doesn't. if he did, he wouldn't be worrying about what an NFL team decides to call itself. he would "deal with it."

The Commissioner of the NFL and the President have weighed in lightly about it. It's a relevant story. There is no reason Costas shouldn't speak about it if he has any perspective to share. He does, and he shared. Why are you making a big deal out of it?

Because there is a right place and a wrong place, a right time and a wrong time to discuss the issue.

Using the platform NBC has during the halftime of an NFL game to make a statement of your personal opinion about a controversial topic dealing with perceived racism, political correctness, etc. is not appropriate.

You agree with his stance, which is why you are defending him, but he should not be giving his personal feelings about a topic like that during a football broadcast.

It's gross. It's like a reporter acting friendly with the President and agreeing with him when your job is to ask the tough questions regardless of what your personal feelings are.

And using the halftime of a football game to make political statements is also gross.

Costas in an attention-seeking, self-important leftie craving relevance so he tries to manufacture it. Unfortunately for him, he is just a sports commentator and a pretty dull, dry, and boring one at that.

Exactly. Halftime during a football game is the perfect time to talk about off-field issues of a football team.

No, it was perfectly appropriate. Feel free to quote anything inappropriate in Costas' words. NBC gets to choose what they broadcast. You don't get to tell them what's "appropriate" for them to say. Come on. Be real.

Wrong again. I completely disagree with his stance on guns, and I defend him all the same.

Not your call to make, and not really any of your or my business.

Tell me: what political statement did he make? I'll have the transcript handy.
