I tell you what, Angels, you pay his whole contract for him to play against you in your division, and we'll take him.

If the Rangers pay $15 mil total, that's outstanding. that means the Angels are still paying him SEVENTY million. If its $15 mil a year, that's awful.

But $5 million a year is nothing. Ross Detwiler cost $3.5 million.

Your responses in this thread make you look really dumb. Any reasonable person can see this is a great deal with very little risk for the rangers.

Is Ross Detwiler an often injured drug addict?

Jonny Gomes is making 4. Even if Hamilton never gets back to what he was, 5 million dollars a year is not a bad risk even for an oft injured drug addict.

Evan Gattis is a recovering alcoholic who will probably resort back to the booze if he keeps K ing 3 times a game

I hope he can keep his demons in order,, If he stays on the right track he could have 4-5 more decent years... I never understood his move to L.A. [Yes money] But for an addict its better sometimes to stay where the comfort zone is........

Then what is Prince going to do? And the Rangers still have Moreland who is better defensively at 1B than either Prince or Josh (who has never played 1B). Is he out?

So the Rangers may now end up with drug-addled Josh to go along with Prince (who has as many HR's as Elvis Andrus ), Choo (same), Darvish (who finally hit the Japanese Fade) and the chronically injured Derek Holland. Plus Elvis for eight more years at his lack of production. Oh, and Feliz as closer.

I think the Rangers and Angels should swap GM's. JD could tell Arte Moreno what deal to make, Arte does the opposite and the Angels improve. Meanwhile the Rangers get a GM that has something between his ears besides a perfect vacuum.
