This is the same, except the next defensive stop could very possibly be the game.

Maybe I'm just weird but I have no desire to see big play after big play after big play.

It kinda takes the thrill out of it.

I think it's fun to watch when you have no interest in who wins. Kinda like Baylor/UW the other night

1000x better than the Auburn game

Oregon actually had a game where their were no TD's in our history. All Ducks refer to that game as "The Toilet Bowl". Just goes to show that different regions see thing different ways. To us, the LSU vs Bama first game was a snooze-fest. To each his own.

Football games are not determined before hand and scripted. They go the way they go. Complaining about the entertainment value of a game makes no sense to me.

That game was boring. But this game isn't great either.

Both games are boring. There, feel better?

Why? I watch football because football is fun to watch. When I don't have a dog in the fight I like an entertaining game. No there isn't anything the teams can do about it but I see no problem discussing the entertainment value with others.

Outside of the last 5-6 minutes of the game, there was absolutely nothing exciting or entertaining about the first LSU-Alabama game.

It was:

Run, run, run, punt.
run run missed pass punt.
run playaction for no gain, run, punt.
run run HEY WE GOT A FIRST DOWN run run missed field goal.

Boring arse game. You can call it great defense if you want, but those offenses played like shite in the game independent of the defenses on the field.

When you have 2 great defenses playing it makes big plays way more exciting. It's fun to see the individual matchups and if the offensive guys can beat their man. Great plays swing games and are truly earned. This high scoring shite gets old really fast. I'm enjoying this years Rose Bowl but usually can't stand shoot outs. It's sorry football.

There was no creativity or guts in that game. Both played not to lose on offense because of the defenses.

I hope there's more gusto to open up the game more in the second meeting...you got the feeling if one took chances and the game opened up just a little - the other team would follow. I expect a different game the second time around.

28-28 at the half? LOL

Brent and Herbie think this is the greatest game ever. Love that defenseless pac-10/big10 football.

If only USC were in there. Only way Herbie could be having more fun.

Wisconsin defense now looking like it is just going to submit and not even put up a fight. Come on Musberger and Herbie at least recognize what the LSU D did to this Oregon offense.

In this game if the defense gets one stop it could be the difference!

Good defense isn't as sexy as good offense
