Rangers haven't been competitive enough to warrant any fireworks

its the first game of the series and they've already given up.

No one who followed the team all year has given up, this team doesn't start playing until their back is up against the wall. I'm confident in YU tomorrow

get an ace and maybe next year your Stros can be here

Come on LE. You know as well as anybody the Astros need a hell of a lot more than an Ace.

Only way this game can get better would be for someone to put a fastball right between Odor's shoulder blades

Well the facts are that Texas finished with a better record.

They also had a 2-0 lead last year. Better hope Texas doesn't come back in this because I will put your old fricking arse on blast.

Obviously this is the last way the Rangers wanted to start the postseason, but this series is far from over. I expect Yu to do work tomorrow. I think Toronto's right handed heavy lineup was a poor matchup for Hamels...will be interesting to see what happens if/when he goes again this series. As someone already mentioned, this Rangers team thrives with their backs against the wall. Playing in that crazy environment in Toronto won't be an issue

I wonder if the fact the Rangers haven't had a ton to play for the last month or so while Toronto was playing with their season on the line up until 2 nights ago plays a factor? You'd think not, but I guess it's not the craziest idea ever

As pissed off as I am, this is a trend we've followed all season. We win close games and when we lose we get blown out.

Yeah, other than frick face diekman the bullpen looked good. YU goes deep tomorrow and I like our chances. You know the players are pissed after that piss poor performance

Definitely. A lot of good baseball to be played.

Ever since the Cleveland game where Gomez hit a HR in his first at-bat as a Ranger, every team's lineup has been a poor matchup for Hamels.

In his one post-season start he did well, only gave up 3 runs in 6.2 innings. But against a team like Toronto that has plate discipline, Darvish's constant plate nibbling isn't favorable. However he did not face them this year (which means they haven't faced him either, so that could work in his favor)
