They were stupid enough to break away from the football schools so it's not a surprise that they are stupid enough to keep playing needless conference tourney games.

They'll fold up shop. At this point the cancellations are as much about PR as they are public health. Nobody wants to look like they don't care

That, and if you don't cancel and cause an outbreak, you look really, really dumb.
Same reason governors from both parties quarantined people coming back from Ebola areas. Probably overkill but nobody wants to be the one guy who didn't act if the worst happens.
