Is it just me or is this the least hyped, least talked about National Championship game in some while. Sure, we've had some epic NFL Playoff games and storylines (Bengals collapse, sub zero temps in Minnesota) that have stolen the show. That being said, I hardly notice any ads or anyone on ESPN and other sports shows even mentioning the game.

The game probably isn't getting as much pub nationally because it's a glorified SEC championship game.

Clemson is in the south and plays like an SEC team.

People might also be tired of Alabama.

I'm sure the ratings will still be high, but interest is definitely down from a year ago.

Blame it on Saban. Can't wait for him to retire, relegating Bama to mediocrity, so that the other teams can get on with the program and have a shot. Alabama is a pro-team masquerading as a college team. 'The process' makes me want to puke.

Its not going to be a good game.
Its like the Notre Dame vs Bama game.

Notre Dame went undefeated and everyone thought, hey since this team is undefeated, THEY WILL WIN.

shite I do not think Clemson will do good at all against Bama.

People who think Alabama will be horrible as soon as Saban retires need only to look to his last college stop to see how that program is faring. Saban has made Alabama into a contender, and that will continue long after he retires, regardless of the imbecile we hire in his place.

I meant more that they have athletes like an SEC team.

That team sucked though. Clemson actually has a decent team. Not saying they will win but it will be more of a game. That's was all about NDs awesome defense too which was a joke. Lol not their offense. That game went exactly as expected.

Clemson has played a lot of relatively close games against mediocre to bad teams this season.

Louisville, NC State, Syracuse, South Carolina, etc.

Thee college football bowl shite is getting watered down. Too much, too long. This should have been over last week.

Semi-finals should be the week after Conference champ. games. Then one Natty game during bowl season.

I think this game will have ratings as low as the semi-finals and maybe even lower. When you consider that Alabama and Clemson are smaller states that lack major markets and don't have the largest alumni bases as big ten schools or Texas, A&M and other big schools and the national media is more focussed on the NFL playoffs, I think it will be the lowest rating title game in the BCS/Playoffs era.

No way.

They'll be higher than the semifinals.

Dynasties and the same teams dominating aren't good for sports generally. Especially when one is from the Deep South.

It's extreme fatigue with Bama and Saban. People are fricking tired of their shite as they have ruined parity in the SEC and college football as a whole.
