How long does traces of something stay in your body after they cycle off of it? And isn't the testing random? And isn't a representative present when someone takes the test?

Depends on what they are using, how much they are using, and how they ingest it. Injections stay in your system longer, about a month. All of that is moot though because many of them can use masking agents like diuretics or female hormone pills. The smart ones have doctors monitoring their progress. Also keep in mind the steroid is always ahead of the test, testers might not even know what they are looking for yet to detect if someone is using
"random" is what they tell the public. But they definitely know about it before the test is administered. I do think a representative in present but who knows how strict that is, is he watching him whiz in the cup? Also CBA, they all make money from the same pie, would be very easy for someone to turn away because the pie will be bigger with more home runs

I thought an independent representative was present for every test? I recently took a drug test for a position I applied for. And I had to empty everything in my pockets into a locked box before taking the test. I couldn't wear a jacket or hat. And a representative was present right outside the door. And then they sealed the sample in a tamper proof bag and box. I would think MLB would be very careful who they let administer the test after Braun claimed his sample was altered in some manner. But maybe not.
