Pretty much. The quarterback should get tossed for setting up his receiver

He could have aimed at the ball with his hands.

The qb left him in a bad spot. He was falling down. DB was aiming low at well. It just s happened he caught him about the shoulders.

People may not agree with the rule, but that was textbook targeting.

It was the right call, but man this is one of the calls where the ejection seems excessive I mean you can tell he was just making a play not trying to hurt anyone.

I agree it was targeting but the db had no other choice other than let him catch it.

Wrong. He was trying to break up the pass by delivering a hurt instead of playing the ball.

I don't think anyone here really thinks its not targeting by the rule. However, some of these are just football plays. These aren't guys trying to go to the head to hurt a player. There needs to be something to help the def out because you can't just let the guy catch the ball. That isn't football.

totally agree. Good call but I don't think we did anything wrong on the play.

With that said, down 4 and Iowa has gotten a ton of breaks combine with TA playing like crap....I'll take it.

Neither offense is very good but the conditions do limit what you can do. TA is not a good QB

he is very streaky. At times he looks like a beast and at other times he looks completely lost.

Throw the records and stats out in this one. I just want Iowa to escape.

Both teams are out for blood, getting chippy as frick and emotions running high. I knew this would play out in this fashion.

I can definitely see this turning into a great rivalry over time.
