Yep. I loved the dudes I played with. I can’t imagine telling my boys back then, good luck the rest of the way. Class A football and we weren’t that good but those guys are still my best friends 40 plus years later.

You're not thinking long-term. It's all gonna make sense and pay off one day in the future when he's a 24-year old transfer at his 3rd or 4th college, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Well yeah. If you’re an FBS kid on a 2-4 team, then you’re probably going to be pretty important.

Doesn’t excuse the fact that others are counting on you to be committed. If the kid was going to sit, he should have done it before the season.
