This is the 2nd funniest thing about this game. Funniest thing is that the Yankees lost to the A’s

“I don’t care who said it, you’re gone”

Imagine an ump saying that to Billy Martin or Lou Piniella.

I miss when umpires didn't try to be the show.

Contempt of Ump....is a criminal offense.

They once upon a time acted like the better adults and turned the other cheek....Or walked away as the manager is kicking dirt on them.

Now, someone farts in their general direction and they act like you just killed their dog.

Don’t shoot the messenger, I also think this was BS if it went down the way Boone said, but the umpire told the media afterward that he was not responding to anything that was said from Boone’s direction, by him or a fan, but to something said from the other side of the Yankee dugout and rather than go down there and try to pick out who said it, and to keep a player in the game rather than the manager, he threw Boone out to send a message. He said he’d never thrown a player or manager out for something a fan said, and he thought Boone was trying to spin it that way and make that the story. Take that as you will.

Absolutely. Buying a ticket doesn’t make fans gods who can say or do anything they want.

Coaches and refs behave like stupid, silly children when they get all worked up.

I've watched too many compilations of refs and ejections in MLB. Really makes them all look so damn ridiculous watching their behavior in clips one after the other.

He was wrong, and there is video evidence. He would have been better off just admitting he fricked up. Come out AFTER watching the incident replay and say, "Look, it was the heat of the moment; I thought Boone or a coach said something, and I ejected Boone. I was wrong."

how the hell does he double down on his bogus call afterwards?

what a dick, allowing his pride to get in the way of that bullshite call instead of humbling himself

wonder if mlb or the union is going to respond?
