Does the AAC have any other non-Football members?

This move is really going to hurt the MVC. And by extension, the MVC basketball tournament. Wichita Fans used to show up in droves to St Louis for Arch Madness. Other teams were well represented too, but not to that degree.

AAC has Navy as a football-only member. The Shockers will fill in the gaps.

The traveling for the AAC is just insane.

Connecticut to Florida to Texas.

I believe the idea has been floated recently. I know they have a ton of Koch brothers money to play with, but I can't see how a third football program in the state of Kansas would be beneficial.

The university ran a report on this a couple years ago. Would take $200+ million and years of playing at a lower level to even get the foundation built. Unless Charles Koch dies and donates a fortune to the university for that exact reason. This isn't happening.

The pipeline of players to tap into would be decent with the quality of JUCO football in the area.

Interesting addition. Solid baseball and basketball programs, dropped football a very long time ago, will they try to bring it back?

I'm already envisioning Wichita winning around 30 games next season, only getting a 6 seed in the tournament and having to play the 11-seeded champion from the Valley.

That isnt the schools fault, thats the conferences fault.

WSU will make so much more money just being there, then they would finishing first in the Valley
