I just don't see how anyone can try to make fun of Nola for not having a MLB team when that city doesn't support anything more than Nola with 5 times the population.

Well, wasn't me that said it. I wish we did have a baseball team down here. I assume your comment about being rich was tongue in cheek?

Maybe not precentage wise but overall there is more people that can afford to go to games. Why don't they go? Are they transplants from somewhere else or do they just not follow sports?

I have only been to Atlanta a few times for SEC Champ and Saints/Falcons games so I am not an expert on the demographic.

FWIW, a lot of people here like the Braves (and the Astros).

I hate both. When I was a kid WGN was channel 16 (Cubs) and Channel 17 was TBS (Braves)

Never minded the Astros but wasn't a fan.

When the Marlins and Rockies came out I picked the Marlins and have rode with them from the get go. My grandma was a huge Pirates fan so I have switched to them now. When the MArlins hired Ozzie I gave up on them. Pissed me off.

Eh, lots of rich people in NOLA too. As for fans in ATL, there's a TON of transplants. ATL is a major (maybe biggest in country outside of LA and NYC) transplant city where I'd say 50+ percent of the population wasn't born and raised in ATL.

In comparison to NOLA, it's the opposite. I feel like a minority as a transplant resident in NOLA. Most people in Louisiana are born and raised here.

That will have an effect right there. So if 50% of Atlanta are locals what would the precentage of middle/upper class be for locals. lets say 30%?

30% of 2.25 million is still more than 30% of 1.1 million people.

Thats what I was getting at. I just wish we had a MLB team over an NBA team. NBA is crap

Nah man, my original post was about the Saints have nothing else to do other than trash talk the Falcons.

You're welcome for bringing you up to speed.

How would London be for tailgating?

They have an official tailgate that you can apply for tickets for. Its got games, and beer, but I've never been looks a little lame.

The GreenMan pub up the road puts on its own tailgate, personally I buy a crate with a mate, throw a pigskin around and get drunk just far enough outside the stadium for the stewards to not take away my beer
