No one is crushing them, but they aren't lighting it up like that in that era.

As of today, they are the only team averaging at least 12 threes per game on offense; they are also the only team giving up fewer than six threes per game on defense. Remember when a team won games by controlling the paint? These Warriors win by controlling the edges of the scoring area. By scoring 37.5 points per game beyond the arc while allowing opponents just 17.7 from out there, Golden State isn’t just tweaking how we value court real estate

The Warriors would have trouble controlling the paint in the 80s and 90s, but they would abuse teams on the perimeter. The more I think about it, Golden State's game would translate incredibly well to that style of play. They would force teams to open up the paint as they expanded their defense to cover the perimeter. On defense they could sag in the paint to help offset their front court liabilities.

The point of Basketball is to get the ball in the basket. They might have the best collection of shooters on one team ever. They would be good in any era.
