Showing my ignorance here but...

I've been looking at these two funds today.

Can someone please help me understand what the advantage of the VFIAX is over the VV? The difference?

Based on the VV having:

No minimum
Lower Expense Ratio
More diversified

Why would I go with the VFIAX vs the VV?

I am single with no dependents or debt. I have exactly 10k to invest and am deciding between making a 5500 contribution for 2016 to my roth IRA or putting all 10k into a brokerage account and getting the admiral shares of the VFIAX.

Can anyone offer their thoughts on what you would do in my position? Happy to answer further questions. Thanks for any advice.
