Trading cars with private seller out of state. Requirements?

I am looking at trading cars with a private seller. He is from Illinois but we are meeting around memphis. What do I need? Can I just get the title notorized when i get back or do I have to find one in Memphis?

The first question that comes to mind is why are both of you willing to travel to Memphis to get this deal done? Must be a special car. Collectible?

Honesty, more than likely nobody here will really know. I'm sure there are car enthusiast sites out there with forums packed with people who may have better info.
