Should I wait for another dip to buy in or is $11 and change a good buy right now?

What do you see in F that makes it a good investment?

I don't see it IMO, but maybe I am missing something.

I am up right now personally. I bought it for the DIV then they yanked that. Will be looking to sell once my lots hit 1 year so I can move to other players.

Pitch me a F thesis, because I don't really see it

I'm in at $9.04. I bought hoping for big things from their EV Mustang, which by many accounts is really competitive with Tesla, and their streamlined lineup. Hoping it can get back to the $13 range.

I've been a long term holder. Sold half last week and glad I was able to turn a profit.

Calls on F are usually super cheap, even when they're close and already in the money. I made a nice little return last week buying $10.50 calls and then it ran to $12

I was a longtime hold and finally sold last week... personally I just don’t see the potential growth in F as much as available elsewhere

I bought some at around $10 several years ago. Probably the 2nd or 3rd worst stock buy I’ve ever made.

For 100 shares it is low risk and high reward.... with their truck sales I don’t understand why it’s not better

I don’t understand either. Love my f150 much more than my last truck. There a lot I like, but the cherry on top is the gas mileage. Love it

F up ~3% after hours on earnings that fell just short of forecast. Apparently up because people think they're on the right track in areas live EV. This chip shortage I keep hearing about will affect them as well though.

I’ve been a long holder of Ford. I wouldn’t pick it up at $11

I’m in on F for 2000 @5.93 and I don’t plan on considering selling for quite some time as I’m very bullish on this one.

Ford has a substantial investment in Rivian which has already increased in value by $900 million since inception. Rivian has plans to IPO for $50 billion which would push the value of Ford’s investment to around $6 billion. I’m speculating here but I think Rivian may ultimately IPO around $150 billion based on the attention it will garner.

Ford has begun production and has real-world sales of its electric mustang which is getting great reviews by current Tesla owners and there’s excitement among electric car enthusiasts. There is also tax incentives to make the switch too from Tesla as many Tesla owners no longer qualify for a tax credit by purchasing another Tesla.

Ford has been releasing exciting vehicles and creating a buzz, this one may take off once it hits its 5 year high around $14, hope so anyway.

With the news Apple isn’t in talks with Hyundai for production of its car coupled with the news that Ford may be parting ways with it’s EV battery supplier, does this open the door for a Ford and Apple deal with this new advanced battery I keep hearing about?

If not, who’s in the best position to partner with Apple on their EV car?

Ford is not cool enough for Apple. Brand mismatch. I wouldn’t put any money into an American automaker at this point. They are drinking the EV koolaid which is just asinine. Where are you going to get electricity for a million EVs when you haven’t built a new power plant in 25 years in most of the country? Where will all the materials come from for all the required lithium batteries? None of the numbers logically work for this huge transformation to EVs in the next 10 years. Plus if we really figure out self-driving tech you’ll take half the cars off the road because your car becomes an Uber while you are at work or not using it making it cheap and convenient for most people not to own a car. None of this is good for GM or Ford.

If you like it at $11, you'll love it at $6.

For every car Tesla sells, Ford sells 4.
Right now ford is worth $45 billion and Tesla is worth 17 times that amount at $783 billion.

When Ford is able to fill their existing revenue streams with EV cars, trucks, and vans they’ll still be outselling Tesla and the market cap gap will close.
This is why I’m really bullish on Ford, its not because I like the brand. The truth is I’ve never even owned a Ford.

Add the market share the new Bronco will take from Jeep and it only creates more momentum.

Not a popular opinion around this board, but I do not think Workhorse wins the USPS contract. I think Ford Oshkosh do. For this, and the other EV positive things listed above, I do think Ford is a buy. Would have liked it to come back to $10, but just keep DCA because once more positive news hits there is going to be no looking back.

The bid isn't expected to go 100% to one bidder
