So I am finalizing the state tax return online and it asks for 1099-MISC returns, specifically "state income" indicated in Box 17. I received a couple of 1099-MISCs but they are blank in Box 17. Are those only reported for the federal return, or should they also be included in the state return? The Louisiana online site asks for the federal adjusted gross income which includes the amount of the 1099-MISC income, so I am unsure what to do. If any of you accounting types are here and can offer your thoughts, it would be much appreciated.

Are you a resident or a non-resident of LA?

If you are a resident, then all of your income is taxed in Louisiana, regardless of what's on the form.

So should I include the 1099 – MISC forms, or not?

Well, the state is asking for federal AGI, which includes that amount. So you give the state federal AGI. So yeah, that amount is included in Federal AGI.
