Signs of a bubble, art prices hitting new highs?

I know things like fine art, collectible cars and the such are highly correlated with the markets. Seeing these articles for new high prices on art makes you think a little bit.

I'm no market mastermind, but I think some of that has to do with bonds still being mostly worthless. People don't have huge chunks of money in safe boring bonds like they have in the past, so they are looking for alternate ways to invest and have more money in cash. Therefore non traditional means of investing like cars, art, etc. are played with more often.

And they aren't investing in the market because valuations are at all time highs. Hence the bubble.

High end art is a conduit for money laundering. The below NYT article acts like this is a new idea but it's been known for a while.
