I have a good bit of money in annuities. Should I sell now. I have been reading about a bust and I am scared to death. Opinions please. Outside of why the f__k do you have annuities. It is for protection.

You may want to check on the fees associated with getting out of the annuities. They can be hefty. Annuities can have some good things about them but I personally hate them and think they BS products that make it incredibly hard to get out of.

So you bought the annuities for protection, yet are scared of the impending market doom? I'll go out on a limb and guess you want to sell the annuities to buy gold, shotguns, and spam?

There are reasons people have to do what appears as stupid as hell. But it turned out in favor of me. I know about the penalties. I just thought I would ask this stupid fricking question. Who knows what will happen but I thought maybe someone could just say yes or no it's worth hanging in there.

Talk to your representative regarding the benefits offered by the annuity. Typically speaking, the fees you pay are in part associated with riders that protect your future retirement income against market losses.

The market will not in our lifetime ever bust as hard as it did in 2008.

For the love of God...just edit your title!!!!!!

JUST...DO IT

This is what it could be:

"I have a good bit of money in annuities. Should I sell now?"

Chicken would like you to edit the thread title so it is less vague. Vague thread titles are discouraged against on the site.

"selling an annuity" would be a much more descriptive title than "sell"

"selling an annuity"
would still be lacking, but better than "Sell"...
