I thought it was "let's move before they raise the parking rate."

I remember that. It was a different cut of the song in order to get it played on MOR stations. Think about it. What the hell does "parking rate" mean?

Call again, ask for a manager, if they don't fix it, ask to be directed to the department that can cancel your account.

+1

There are thousands of CC companies, just tell them either take it off or cancel my CC..

No they don't. They'd prefer you never pay it, then they get to add late fee upon late fee upon penalty upon interest, by the time they sell it to a collection agency, they can sell it for half of the face value and still profit.

I was just on the phone for 58+ minutes discussing a CC firm/banks f-up of not applying a large check I sent them to pay off an expiring 0% balance transfer (I sent the $ 3-weeks prior to expiration) and instead applied it to a second balance which was fixed at 1.9% for life. It took 7 frickin people until they agreed to fix it and threatening to withdraw my CD's/savings from their institution which were > 20x the card balances. Wow, what a bunch of assholes.

This is like saying "WalMart doesn't want you to buy its goods. It would rather you walk up, hand a $100 bill to the cashier, and walk out." Both statements are technically true, but not what the companies' business models are based on.
