I am starting my MS Tax Accounting at UNO in a month at UNO. I received my undergrad at LSU so I am a bit unfamiliar with UNO professors. Does anyone have any advice on which classes to not take the same semester and which ones are the most enjoyable. Also, some good business electives suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know a girl I graduated undergrad (LSU) with that went to UNO and said it was relatively easy compared to LSU. You should be fine.

I did the same. Take Mark Reid for as many classes as possible.

Knowing OP, I'm setting the o/u for failing out at ~65%.

Reid is outstanding. He's been teaching for a while but also had a solid career in public practice, so it's a lot of practical stuff coming from him.

Manry is very, very good... teaches a lot of theory and complex classes... his classes are insane hard but you learn so much.

Stay away from Sam Lambert (although I heard he might have retired and I don't think he teaches anything in the tax program, I believe)

Harmilink is good but he's about 138 years old and doesn't like technology.

But the thing to remember about the program is this: most of the classes are only offered once per semester and always have the same professor... so you just gotta buckle down and roll through it.
