Internships (Pre-MBA)

Have been casually searching (since Jan/Feb) for finance/accounting internships over the summer and have definately noticed a drop since last year. Also, I am about to graduate in May and will enroll in LSU's MBA program in the Fall, so basically someone in my situation has zero shot to find any relevant work over the summer. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do or where to look? Let it be noted that my current internship can be extended to the summer, but I would rather have some new experiences. I would be limited to BR, NO, Lafayette, Hammond, or Houston. (Seattle for JT)
P.S. anyone have any info for the undergrad readers? If I left it would lead directly to a spot in BR.

Go to career services and have them overhaul your resume. Trust me, you need it.

As if BR was not super difficult to find a finance internship already, no-one hires someone in our situation.

you're looking for a finance internship? i know of a pretty unique, at least for that area, internship opportunity in NOLA. i think they're looking for somebody that can work during the school year though

I am in a similar situation. Graduating next month from LSU with a degree in finance, but will be starting UNO's MBA program next year. I have been looking for a job this summer that would extend into next school year and it seems there are slightly more opportunities in New Orleans, but I have not yet found exactly what I'm looking for. Good luck with the search.
