re: How many stocks have you made more $ than you put in ?

Have been fortunate with some over the years, but am not a heavy stock picker. Typically keep about 80% of money in indexes and mutual funds.

AAPL has doubled for me 3 separate times over the years. I pulled my initial investment out and kept the gains in. Some others were Google, Home Depot, Amazon,Waste Mgmt, Nvidia. Going further back Wal-Mart, Qualcomm, and MMM were very good to me.

I typically own about 10 individual stocks in my "play account" which keeps me interested and more engaged in the market.
