I want to buy Volvo-Penta but my Morgan Stanley broker told me that he cannot buy a stock from the Stockholm Exchange.

Does anyone know how I can buy it?

Thanks in advance.

Typically, large and well-known foreign companies' stock can be purchased as an ADR, an American Depositary Receipt. However, Volvo's ADR program was terminated in January. Since your broker can't or won't buy shares on the foreign exchange, the only other option I'm aware of is to open a brokerage account with a firm in Sweden.

Fidelity lets you trade on many international exchanges including Sweden. I have never done this personally.
