Anybody here ever sign up or win a house auction? There's one that I might be interesting in and I need all the information I can get. I'm new to this.

TIA.

You'll need to get your financing prearranged. If you're not a cash buyer, choose a lender willing to work with you on the project. They'll have as much interest as you do in the quality of your investment. An experienced lender will coach you on such things as inspections and/or appraisals as well as approved lending levels based on these.

Know what your top price is. Do not exceed it. Often these are "as is" auctions. If you're planning repairs requiring contracting or labor, price it out before the auction. Include anticipated expenses in your bottomline.
