I got an insurance cancelation letter from the OMV. I sent it back with the bill of sale showing the trade before the cancelation date 3 weeks ago. It still shows I have a hold on OMV'S website. Anybody have experience with how long it takes for them to clear it? Should I send the bill of sale again or go to the OMV office?

No. Dealer said they took care of that. Letter from OMV said to send in copy of bill of sale.

Screw the state... Bunch of money grabbing whores

Btw, what are they doing about the people who moved out of state and may have never gotten those letters?

Sending them the bill of sale will stop the clock on how many days they can fine you for, but if they did not get the plate within 10 days it will probably take paying a fine to get it cleared.

You are fine. I would have suggested calling number at omv and faxed bill of sale to them. But regardless, when they receive it, they will see it was a trade in (our dealership has a 'garbage bin' we put plates in, state comes get them when it fills, so usually month or so before they actually get access to them, but we have forms that keeps up with that).
