Trump Media shares jumped higher on Tuesday after the company said it has no debt and over $200 million of cash on hand.

That’s been known since yesterday but I guess it’s news today. They received $300 million from the merger.

I believe Trump is a pretty savvy businessman, and if he knew there would be a $5B+ market for his company, he’d have never take it public via SPAC. He potentially left billions on the table.

Like I said. Not doable. You would be an idiot to make that trade.

If you feel the stick is going to collapse why would it be stupid?

The conversation was on how to short it.

I already explained what the game plan is for his company imo. He will go for the next fox news

There is a YUGE void in the conservative/moderate space and zero competition

Trump leaves a massive media legacy to Baron

If it isnt then what a total waste

Setting cash on fire to run truth social that no one uses. So now they are going to burn though billions to start up a news company etc...

Only problem where do they get the money to burn. Obviously they will take retail investor money and leave them holding the bag. But that is small fries

I mean it’s really just an idea right now outside of Truth social, and it’s an idea that’s valued like it’s well beyond where the company currently is.

I can’t speak for everyone that’s been critical, but my issue is the fact that you’re paying the valuation of a well established company for something that is basically at the ground floor.

He’s got $300MM to build a $7B company, and that’s just to make today's prices reasonable.

How much time will have to pass with nothing even close to this having happened for you to say "wow, I was absurdly wrong about this"?

We should all stop arguing and start making real-world predictions (with dates) so we can easily see who was right and who was wrong.

OK. How about some stock price markers in the interim? Also, let's say your vision comes to pass right at the 5 year mark: what is your prediction of what the market cap would be at that point (right now it's about $6B)?

I think anyone pontificating as much as you should have some idea. An idea about current fundamental value as well as an idea about future value in your predicted scenarios. How else would one calculate an IRR with which to make an informed opportunity cost analysis for this potential investment vs the next with which it is competing?

Of course I don't. I actually have no idea what you're talking about. Whether or not this stock is cheap, fair or expensive has NOTHING to do with "TDS". YOU seem like the one with TDS.
