Dental Insurance

Anyone have a private dental insurance plan that they would recommend? Mine jumped to $54.00 a month for individual. No dental issues here. Thanks!

I've often questioned the need for dental insurance. Cleanings cost only about $50. My max payout per a year is only $2k. hardly insurance...

For me.. Cleanings are $100.. Xrays another $100. Getting a cap replaced next week $1000. This is all within one month. $1,200. My dental insurance is paying for itself. They cover $700 of that.

My employer dental insurance only covers max 1500/yr. I've had several like that.
If you dont have any dental issues, I would just forgo dental insurance for 54/month.
Dental ins typically only covers 2 free cleanings a year too. Cleanings are about $100/each.
All the other procedures, insurance would pay 25-50%.

If you have more than just cleanings, get the insurance. If you don't, fund your HSA with the $54 per month.
