Do they focus on more than just the bottom line to strive to create shareholder wealth for the client?

A challenging and rewarding career with access to the great opportunities and working with a lot of really sharp people

Depends where you work, but in general you will work with way more intelligent and driven people than industry. If you work at a mega firm like Accenture, this may not be as true. My firm is smaller a d doesn't do commodity type consulting, so I feel we get to do more interesting projects than the average firm.

Use a variety of skills, very much merit based, lots of working in teams. Good compensation and great benefits

Pretty true for the most part, you will get exposed a lot quicker in consulting than in industry and most firms have a "up or out" policy. The compensation is good at the beginning and ends of your career and probably not as great in the middle and that's when most people go over to industry when there is probably the biggest discrepancy in pay.

In general, yup. My firm has really low turnover for consulting but we have great work life balance and good people. We pay a lot of attention to culture fit when we hire.
