I withdrew $10k worth when it $400 recently.

Obviously there's been drama since then.

So did all the lower limit buy orders filled yesterday down to the bottom?

I was told to take that shite down

Exactly why I've repeatedly advocated for folks to use their own wallet. The exchange is not a bank. They most certainly don't have your best interest at heart.

So I'm relatively new to this, what do you mean to use your own wallet?

So would I purchase the Ether on Coinbase, then transfer it to a wallet for safekeeping, and when it comes time to sell transfer it back to coinbase? What about placing limit orders, would I have to keep cash somewhere for when an order is fulfilled?
I'm wanting to get on GDAX to place a limit order for the next time it dips.

Your understanding is correct in transfer to your wallet for safe keeping. However, you would have to leave it on the exchange (GDAX in your example) to do the stop/loss

I have a feeling this thing is going to probably not grow as fast for awhile because of yesterday.

Meh. From the little I read it appears these events actually happen more often than you think.

It happened on Kraken a few months ago.

Then again, could be different as there are a lot of new players today vs. a few months ago.

I'm in agreement. That's where I am moving it to. I have the nano ledger (per okietiger). I have gains and limit out at $2000 because of problems with higher approvals.

Yes indeed.

You are also correct here

Using something like the ledger you see other people here mentioning, or going to the ethereum website and downloading and installing the actual client the system runs on... or whichever coin you choose. I'm old school lol, so i run my wallets on my computer. The portable hardware wallets are pretty sweet though.

Need some press or dev news or something, otherwise we may be in a holding pattern for a while. Luckily a while in this world could just mean a week
