Came across a YouTube video about Bitcoin.. It really is interesting stuff. I admit I don't fully grasp the execution of how it works, but I am able to follow it enough that it seems like a legit currency.

Anyone here know anything about it.. Is there a way to invest in it?

Classic millennial nerd statement to someone with a legitimate question. I'm sure you can give all of us a thorough explanation of blockchains.

I'm not trying to come off negative at all, please know this, but if you can't grasp the actual execution how can you draw the conclusion that it is legitimate?

If you can't grasp it then don't put your earned money in this, my man.

I hear that.. Which is why I'm trying to do some research. The only thing I know about it is a 5 minute video. My take away was that it is really cool and intriguing. Thanks though for the advice

No problem man. After doing some extensive research I hope you can come up with your own judgement and conclusion. I personally don't get involved with currencies, but that's not a reflection that money cannot be made, just a preference. Continue the research and let us know what you conclude.

This thread proves how many n00bs are on the MT Board lately. Bitcoin wars raged here for months on end before Wiki's ultimate departure from the site after LSURussian evidently dropped his real name here, and then the Bitcoin battlefield was ceded.

No. I tend to stick to more solid investment opportunities such as Iraqi Dinar.

Nope. I used the first letter of his real name.

What you probably don't know is that wiki used his real name as his TigerDroppings screen name for a couple of years before he got it changed to "wikitiger." Any poster on here who goes back to 2005-2007 knows his name.

But that's not why he disappeared.

He stalked me and learned my real name. He threatened on here to post personal information about me in a blackmailing sort of way so I posted my full name, social security number, home address, email address and home phone number. I asked him if there was any other personal information he wanted to threaten me with by posting it? He didn't reply so after about 3 hours I deleted my personal information post.

He never posted again after that probably because I gave zero fricks so much it scared him.....

LSURussian: Another LifeLock success story!

Hope you've been well my friend. Yes...that's right Ruskie...even though we disagree about St. Georgians, Javier Sanchez and perhaps other topics, I did use the term friend. Hope you don't mind

people have had their bitcoin investments disappear into thin air. It is all electronic. You have nothing to stand on when this happens. It is a flawed product but the next version should be much more viable and refined.

I love Bitcoin.

I've had an account at Coinbase for the past 2 years. Every Wednesday I have it setup to auto purchase $50 worth of BTC.

I checked out the stats the other day and I'm up a ton so I cant complain ;)

Decent way to auto invest and I would suggest keeping a small amount of your portfolio in BTC. If you dont know anything about it, I would suggest learning more before putting any of your $ into it.

Cheers and best of luck. You can PM me if you would like help.
