So I have an old grandfathered unlimited data plan with AT&T and about 6months ago I added my wife on an additional line that is not unlimited data, but plenty. I was paying about $90 for my unlimited everything on my phone but now with hers we are regularly at $180-220 depending on how many $10 data overages she eats up.

Question is do I need to trash my old unlimited data plan and go with a family plan or another provider altogether? I've held onto my grandfathered unlimited data religiously, but dang near $200 a month for two phones can't be normal. Thanks for the advice.

How much data usage have you averaged per month over the past year? If it's under 10 gigs then I say yeah switch to a new plan but if it's something over 20 gigs per month, then I would keep it.

If you switch to direct tv you can get the unlimited data plans for your wife
