There's no catch? You're locked in for how many months?

I didn't realize there was a $50 difference between 5G and 10G. Good god. I'm seriously thinking about just dropping to 5 and just ration data use when we're not on wifi.

i've just upgraded, the "details" says it will not change your plan other then increase your GB. You can also choose whether to start your new plan, and billing cycle today, or begin your new plan on your next billing cycle. it does not require you to do anything with your current, or expired contract. nor does it require that you upgrade your phone.

I'm already under contract for 10 gigs. Do I have to get a new phone? The link takes me to ATT Next deals.

Well, I've finally given up my unlimited plan. It was a scary thought, but in the end keeping unlimited was wasting money.

I had 10GB with rollover data so I didn't need the 15GB, but I signed up since it was free. Now going back, the 10GB plan isn't even an option. I would assume that it isn't for new plans either.

It's only a $20/mo savings for me to drop down to 5GB.

I'm unlimited also, and 15 GB would easily cover me and the wife...but I hate to give it up. I don't know why...it gets throttled after 5GB anyways.

ETA: I just checked, our peak usage in last year was combined 13 GB, average around 10 GB. I can get a 15 GB plan for the wife and I for around $130 after taxes, vs the $160 I am paying now. Should I make the switch, or should I hold on to unlimited to protect me from increased future data usage.

I average 6, and the wife averaged 2. 15 GB with rollover and tethering for $20 less a month and no throttling was too good to pass.

yeah, good point. It's getting harder to use 5+ anyways with throttling. I use on average 6-7, wife uses 4-5. We would be under 15 for now, but I am afraid something new will use more data next year and I'll be screwed.

Thanks, just saved $80 per month by doing this we had 4 lines and I did not want to give my unlimited data but I'm not using that much data to justify the extra 960 per year to keep it.

I know what these fricks are doing. They are going to get rid of the 10gb plan and then go up on the pricing at some point in the near future for the 15gb. They do shite like this all the time.

Nah, it's called competition, all the other cellular companies are offering more data for less. Getting throttled after 5 GB is a bit ridiculous, but cellular speeds have come a long way in the last few years.
