Does anyone have insight on the business of developing and running an apartment complex?
Is this a decent business or is the headache greater than the reward?

I'm guessing a headache.
Somewhat along those lines, but it seems like a trailer park (where the renters own the trailors and you just rent them the land) would be a hell of a lot easier and less risky.

If you know what your doing they are easy money. If you don't then work with someone who does till you are competent. If you are looking to get started in real estate I would research and try to find a small light industrial building.

For a while I was looking pretty strong at a self storage business. I would start there. Less capital required to get started and less risk.
