ZERO Sorrow for Miles - The DEBACLE MUST END

Miles is a multi-millionaire. He and his agents have milked the maximum monies from LSU. He makes an INSANE salary, and his product is vastly un-commensurate with that salary.
He is a good-hearted man, and that is appreciated, but that is vastly insufficient to retain him. Miles is great with relationships, and is therefore a great recruiter, but that is only a foundational (although very important) part of his responsibilities.
Miles is the SINGLE person who has failed to right the QB ship over a SUSTAINED period of time. Other than part of a season with Lee and getting a other-place-developed-Qb in Mett (he was developed at UGA and Jr College), Miles has been a complete flunkee at the MOST IMPORTANT POSITION ON THE FIELD OF THE GAME HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR. He is the opposite of a QB whisperer.
Miles continues to be prideful or un-smart with his offensive scheme. EVERYONE else knows his system sucks but him. EVERYONE. He makes this worse by consistently mis-fitting QB's to his poor system. Ludicrous.
Miles was bailed out, and eager to acknowledge King Alexander - his apparent political cover man- at the end of last seasons debable. King is a political man who knows nothing about football, so Miles lucked out that King's concern about public perception saved Miles' arse.
I loved his quirkiness and his good-heart and the chances he took in 2007 against Auburn and Florida that allowed us to win a Natty. I love his everywhere-but-QB recruiting.
But all of that takes a back seat to the thousands of dollars spent each year on a product that he is responsible for which is inadequate.
In the net, Miles is inadequate. He has his chance to change and failed. He did it HIS WAY, and is failing.
Miles must go NOW before he wrecks another season.

I look at it as running a business. If I ran my business they way he runs his program I wouldn't be in business. He is in charge of a $75 million dollar a year business and he needs to go ASAP.

Yep, and I love the way they twisted fans trying to show respect for the man and send him off with cheers as "vocal outcry" against his firing...what bullshite.

Too late. Honestly, he should have stepped down last year to the great sendoff we tried to give him. Now he will be unceremoniously railed out of town. I'm convinced that had he done so a significant portion of his buyout could have quietly been negotiated and paid to him and he would have saved face and probably landed a decades worth of work at ESPN as the lovable goofball.

Can't argue with that.
Time to go!
Time to go!

Are you bitching here with no solution?

In a separate post yesterday, I proposed Hiring Coach O as an interim HC and promoting D Craig to OC, while letting Miles and Cameron go - and telling Coach O and Craig that if they excel they will be retained, and if not, to be honest with them that we would go strong for Herman as soon as Herman could be obtained. This is a worthwhile risk.
