Mccarron has good accuracy but without any velocity. Those sideline passes will not work for him in the pros.

Mett is relatively raw for a senior qb. He just hasn't played enough games to hone his skills. He will be a steal any lower than 2nd round with huge upside.

As LSU fans, we know things about Mett that many do not and so we believe that these mock drafts are under rating him. For instance, we remember him as a big Juco recruit after his year of Juco dominance. Also, he lit up the gumps pretty well relative to where the O had been the year before and he had the same staff working with him. It is no secret that CCC will greatly improve his draft status.

The one "X-Factor" that I see was most evident right out of the box against TCU. He was throwing into some tight and partially illegal coverage that wasn't getting flagged but he still threaded needles and threw passes that only a bold and fearless strong armed QB would dare to attempt twice while playing for a coach who despises turnovers like Les does. His confidence is going to be a huge deal going forward.

I personally think that Landry and Odell might help him get high into the first round. Those guys are working the ball in the air like I haven't seen an LSU Tiger do in a long time. Maybe CCC somehow turned that light on in them but either way, it is going to keep Mett's completions up and his picks down.

I see him as a first round top 20 pick if this team comes together like I think that they can.

He would be a good fit in Philly where CK runs the "O" offense.

He's not perfect for every team. Hell I can think of 16 teams that wouldn't draft him. But, his style of play does transfer over to the NFL. I could see him in Philly,San Fran,Cleveland & Cincinnati easily.
