Your season tickets aren't your property, according to LSU.

I remember this distinctly when the Tradition Fund was enacted, and they allowed a limited time for people to transfer tickets to other people (family members, etc). The people who cried the loudest about the TF were the folks on the sidelines who had had them for decades but had never paid a dime for TAF or any seat license. The AD kept reminding folks that holding a season ticket does not equate to ownership of anything. The university reserves the right to take them from you anytime they wish, and there ain't diddly you can do about it.

I wonder what would happen if they just decided to wipe the stadium clean and start over. Best seats for the highest dollars, period. There might be riots. Personally, I support such a notion.

Better question is why doesn't LSU allow season tic holders to sell their seat rights like the saints do? I know many older fans that's simply keep seats cause they don't want to give them up for nothing. I also know younger fans that would gladly pay a nice sum to have those seats forever.

Nah...that's silly. But I agree that tickets ought to be priced based on their actual value, with nothing grandfathered in. You want prime tickets, you need to pay for them or someone else will. Those people who have had those seats for a long time ought to have first right of refusal though.

Wiping the slate and redistributing tickets sounds like Commie talk that would get you run off the Poli Board...and rightfully so.

BTW...how ya' been, Slip?
