In my lifetime, it's been North EZ for Offense/Clutch scores, and South EZ for Defense/GL stands.
Concur.

People keep saying south end zone for goal line stands, yet not one person has mentioned a specific one, much less even a game.
answer is north endzone, many examples for it already mentioned.
When you think of famous plays in TS, it happened in the North endzone.
Skylar Green, Cannon, 2000 Tenn DEFENSIVE stand, Patrick Peterson Windmill and Heisman pose, D Byrd, Keilands run against Va Tech.

This touchdown was memorable to me if not to others. The sad part I am not sure who scored the TD. Someone may remember with more detail than I but as I remember it was late in the game with Ole Miss leading 7 to 3. It was 1961 and LSU was driving toward the South End Zone for the win. During the game both fan bases would stand and yell “We’re Number 1 - We’re Number 1” because I as I remember both team were ranked very high. Not sure if it was third or fourth down but from my vantage point it almost appeared that Billy Traux caught a pass inside the Ole Miss 5 yard line (Probably the 2 or 3) for a first down in heavy traffic. It almost looked like his feet were above his head when the catch was made. A couple of plays later LSU scored a TD and won 10 to 7.

I have had tix in the south end zone for the past 13 years and it seems like all the action is in the north end zone....
