the women broke two school records today in the shot put and 100m hurdles. Stower's time in the hurdles was 5th best in NCAA history.

Women won it all, and their men finished 1.3 points ahead of us for 3rd

First title for Henry in a couple of years actually. Oregon, Florida, Florida State, USC, and Texas are all contenders now-especially Oregon and Florida

ETA: Oregon is pretty much the best program in college track right now, but they also put the most money into it. I remember seeing old renderings (like 2009ish) where we had plans to add another grandstand to our outdoor track.

Also, I do like Dennis Shaver as he's done good job. However, there are a couple of coaches out there right now that are better. The problem is that you don't just fire a guy like Dennis Shaver with his body of work

Pat Henry is the one coach we should have never let go.

My grandfather has volunteered to tabulate the scores for the gymnastics program since the program started, so he taught me at a young age to appreciate all of LSU's athletic teams. CSB, I know. Just noting I've followed LSU's mid-majors for awhile.

Henry left around the day of my 12th birthday. My dad told me he was heading to A&M and I was so freaking bummed

Pretty shitty of Skip bertman to not give Henry what he wanted. He basically just asked for respectable facilities, and he couldn't even do that. we didn't get locker rooms until this season. and people wonder how schools have caught and surpassed LSU. Arkansas, A&M, and Oregon have funneled millions into their programs compared to our moderate improvements over the years. Thank God they finally did something to the indoor track, albeit they kind of half assed it beccause it's an evacuation facility too.

Agree Skip was cheap arse and let him walk. He would also not upgrade the facilities which A&M did. We are only just now getting to upgrading the track facilities. Damn shame seeing he is arguably one of the best T&F coaches of all time.

Ran on a&M's indoor track this year. Its light years ahead of LSU's even after the upgrade. Haven't been on their outdoor track but can't imagine it being much behind LSU if at all.

Their outdoor track actually sucks, but it's only a matter of time before they completely redo it

Really? That's surprising.

Yea I don't see it being much longer until they upgrade it with all the titles they're bringing in. LSU really needs ton invest in some stands on the back stretch. Think it would be a solid addition.
