Yes, Les f-ed up at Ole Miss Saturday, everyone in the “ENTIRE” country saw that, but out of 120 programs in FBS football, how many wish they could say they have had the same success that LSU has enjoyed under Miles? I would estimate about 90%, or 108 of the 120. Here are some stats:

Les Miles at LSU (2005–Present)

50-14 overall (78%)
26-13 SEC (67%)
*A win over Arky and he would be at 68% and 1 gm behind Saban’s 5 year mark.
2 SEC West Titles
1 SEC Championship
1 National Title
10 Win Seasons = 3
Finish in Top 5= 3

Nick Saban at LSU (2000-2004)
48-16 overall (75%)
28-12 SEC (70%)
SEC West Titles: 1 outright, and 2 ties (2002 & 2003)
2 SEC Championship
1 National Title
10 Win Seasons = 2
Finish in Top 5= 1

Les Miles has 3 10 win seasons and could get a 4th this year.
How many other LSU football coaches had 3 10 win seasons? NONE, Zero, Zilch, Nada

Do you people remember who was here before Saban and Les? These 3 monkeys:

1995-1999
Gerry DiNardo (32-24-1)
2 losing seasons
2 bowls

1991-1994
Curley Hallman (16-28)
4 losing seasons, never had a winning record at LSU
0 Bowls

1987-1990
Mike Archer (27-18-1)
2 losing seasons
2 Bowls

For anyone who doesn’t remember, it sucked! Now we are back among the nation’s elite. Yes there are going to be downward turns, mainly because this is college football circa 2009 not 1980. The entire playing field from Fresno to College Park is so much more level than it was even 15 years ago.

Quit belly aching over the fact that we might finish 2nd in the SEC West behind the potential National Champion and that we still have the chance to win 10 games in a season for the 4th time in 5 years; which has NEVER happened at LSU.

It was one loss. Maybe it was just karma for the “MAGIC” we were blessed with in our 2007 Championship run. Remember ALL those 4th down conversions? Remember we are the “ONLY” 2-Loss team to ever win the title?

We have been ravaged by injuries all year, and were young and inexperienced in key positions coming into the year. While I would love to have beaten Old Piss, the simple fact is we didn’t. End of story.
So, now we move on, as will Les and “OUR” team, and we go cheer on the Tigers as they beat the hell out of Arkansas.

You still have my vote Coach Miles!
However, you “MUST” fire Crowton’s arse!

WHEN WILL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND ! IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN JUST THE ONE LOSS !

THE LUCK OF A FLAG AGAINST UGA

THE GOALLINE STAND VS MSU

LSU COULD BE SERIOUSLY VERY EASILY 6 AND 5. SERIOUSLY THATS NOT A JOKE

So we get an extra second on the clock aganist Old Piss (like the replay clearly shows), spike the ball, kick GW FG.

Peterson's pick is called correctly and maybe we go on to beat Bama.

Now we are (10-1).
So, what was your point?
It's called "the breaks". Sometimes you catch 'em, and sometimes you don't!

People need to quit comparing NS to LM. Saban did not inherit anywhere near the talent that Miles did. Not blowing on Saban, but just tired of the comparisons.

The clock was stopped correctly.

Peterson's INT, wow you are assuming we just go down and score ? Sure would have loved the chance to, but no go.

I am of the belief that there is no such thing as luck in football. You create your own luck. LSU will never win 10 games again under Miles, you can mark that down.

10 win seasons are not really that hard. You could lose 3 in the regular season and win the liberty bowl against some underrated foe and you got 10. But who really cares at that point?

We are not finishing 2nd in the SEC West this year. We will finish 3rd or 4th.

The major statistic that I am concerned about is 7-8 soon to be 7-9 vs. SEC the last two years......we are regressing no matter how much you want to sugarcoat the situation

So why even bother being a fan if you already know the outcome? What a pessimist!

At best we will be the 3rd best in the SEC West and if we lose against Arkansas we will be 4th in the West.

So, if we beat Arky and win the bowl game, that will be 10 wins, but I guess you mean "after" this year, huh?

Wrong!
"AT BEST" we are 2nd.
State beats Old Piss and we beat Arky.
LSU 5-3
Old Piss 4-4

Not saying that it will happen, but that would be "AT BEST".
