You have two outs and a man on second and you leave it up to a .200 hitter?

This was not the spot for Breaux. He will be a good player at LSU but he was clearly not the best option with the game on the line. Righty/lefty matchup does not matter when you are hitting .200. Woley should have pinch hit in that spot.

Look below at the 5 pages discussing this. BB just got spooked, he can hit.

Woley, Romero, Jordan, Breaux, Reid... none are hitting well.

What makes you think he can hit?

It would have been a gamble with any of the options we had. Maybe Breaux had been hitting well in practice. Idk. I was hoping for a pinch hitter but wouldn't have been very confident with any of the options we had. It just wasn't our night at the plate. Hopefully that'll change today.

Truth is we don't have a good consistent option at DH!

I don't care what his average was. He had 3 bad plate appearances. Woley, Romero or Reid should have gotten that AB.

If he is going to be a everyday player, I would rather him get in these situations now and gain experience. Everybody is a .200 hitter at one point.

Woley ,Romero, and Reid should be getting ab to get in the flow. I know Romero can't catch alot but he hit well in the Shriners and then goes back to the bench. Woley was doing good through the Maryland series and then just disappears. This lineup needs some more pop in it. Players who can at least drive the balls in the gaps. If he's gonna use the freshman and play small ball then play small ball bunt when you should then. Pawls lineup is full of small ball players and he doesn't play small ball. try some pop in the lineup and give it a chance. The Maryland game I was at Woley drove the ball twice to the 405 mark and over the center fielders head. Then he has one bad game and he's in the dog house Watson has stuck out like 4 times with the bases loaded. Change it up Pawl

It really is amazing. Paul's version of "small ball" is to call a hit and run every other inning. Why not sac bunt and bunt for hits with the fast guys. Why not try to steal more bases with the fast guys? If that's not your philosophy then get some bats in the lineup that can get a few extra base hits. Just look at Bregman's power numbers at the professional level. Paul has the kids scared to get any lift on the ball.

Something needs to change with the way he calls the game or the lineup. No clutch hitting to many runners stranded

No we had three guys get a chance;
Watson, Slaughter and Breaux. A 326 hitter, a 301 hitter and a 200 hitter. The 200 hitter got last chance.

Didn't we try to steal bases last night?

The .326 hitter was the worst at bat of the 3.
