Because he should definitely, definitely go Pro.
this is the deal of course but in life we all walk a path that belongs to no one but us
The reason for the thread is all the folk that will be calling him stupid to risk the right now money.
If he decides to put off the money - what is really wrong with bucking the greed of the green that we see all around us each day - I wouldn't do it but good for him if he sees it that way.

To elaborate...staying one more year in college doesn't shorten his life span in the NFL. Contrary to popular belief a player doesn't just have X amount of seasons to play football. His career length will be his career length regardless of his amount of time in college.

he can do that in the offseason easily even if he goes pro

so only a-holes are telling him to stay? what does that even mean?
well - it means family and those that have what is best for him - I would not listen to football coaches that make a living off wins and loses
the good people would be the ones that loved him before he was a top 10 NFL football pick
His mom might be telling him to finish what he started - that is possible
The other side to getting the grad paper is that you can do that after your NFL playing days - all day long
I get the feeling after talking to Devin on a Saturday morning right before he got into his very nice Dodge on the North end of Tiger stadium - that he just loves being a Tiger

I would advise Devin to go pro if he expects to be a first round pick.

Most mocks have him in the 10-20 range right now but once he lifts and runs he may sneak up into the top 10. He's absolutely a MLB you can build your defense around.

How many NFL players retire because they physically can’t make it another season vs NFL players that retire because they’ve had enough and are ready for the next chapter of their lives. If it’s only about money then he can keep playing and signing contracts for a very very long time.

after watching this video - I know he will do what he feels that he needs to do
I will be 100% behind what ever this young man decides
Geaux Tigers
He is listening to his Mom
right at the 3 minute mark he says it
I want to be considered the best LSU LB to ever play at LSU - I am not sure people see me as that

He should go pro. If we happen to slip up or lose a game or two, he may end up sitting towards the end of the year and some of the trash on this board will talk shite.
Guys like Lawrence and Divinity can increase their stock. White's will never be higher. If he stays, awesome but I really don't see it and I appreciate everything he has done for LSU.

He will still be a top 10/5 pick next year

Not if he gets hurt. LB is a violent position.
How do you know this? There are guys coming back from ACL tears in 8 months nowadays. What injury would you anticipate would materially affect his draft stock?
For a prospect like White, you can almost guarantee he will play into a second contract, so whether he suffers an injury (that would hamper his longevity in the pros) in college or pros would be happenstance.
There is a low risk that an injury in college will have a materially change is overall earning power in the pros.

He should go pro because his stock will never get any higher, moron. I am saying that we have trash arse fans that only care about themselves. I didn't say they should or will impact his decision.

Given he’s at MLB, that means he may drop to 5-10 but outside of unforeseen circumstance that’s as low as he’ll go
That’s what insurance is for ( unforeseen ) If he can get a good policy, he doesn’t have to worry about the financial aspect of the decision.

There isn't a "right" decision in this. There's a "right" decision for DW, and that's the one he chooses. People should support him either way.

You have to believe that all the good people around Devin White are telling him to go Pro
Why can't everyone just STFU and let Devin make his own decision without idiots trying act like they know what's best for him, or know what is in Devin's heart?
