Supposedly Lefty expert and specialist. And one of the best in game callers. Jay has brought this up many times. I don’t see it man. Maybe it’s the players not executing but his last couple stops check the ERA’s of the teams he left afterwards. They go down significantly. I just think he used to be great but the technology might’ve caught up to him.
As far as in game callings....idk I havnt seen it but also don’t know the behind the scenes increments of the game

It’s the players job to execute the game plan. The pitching staff has to meet the moment and compete at a very high level, and they haven’t done that with the level of consistency needed so far, especially in SEC play. That coupled with costly defensive errors almost every game. They will get every team’s best shot every game as defending national champs. As an aside, I have no idea what’s gong on in Hurd’s head these days. He is a shell

Look, all I know is that aTm sucked last year at pitching and now they’re apparently one of the best pitching staffs in conference. We were an ok pitching staff last year but now we absolutely fricking suck.

Actually outside of Skenes. The pitching staff was not great at the beginning of the year. The offense bailed them out a lot
